SSE is a big energy name, operating in the UK and Ireland. Since 2015, they've been hooking people up not just with gas and electricity but also with SSE broadband deals, giving folks a cheaper option compared to the big telecom players. They operate using BT's Openreach network, just like many other broadband providers in the UK. However, in August 2022, SSE's parent company, OVO Energy, decided to sell SSE Broadband to TalkTalk.
