NOW, which is wholly owned by Sky Group, combines TV Memberships with broadband and call services, and the best part is, there are no binding contracts to worry about should you wish. You have the flexibility to opt for a standard 12-month broadband contract or a 30-day rolling plan, which you can cancel at your convenience. However, the one-month broadband contracts do come with a higher upfront fee.

The TV packages you can select are Entertainment, Cinema, Sports and Hayu. With a NOW subscription, you gain entry to live TV channels and a library of on-demand content. These can be subscribed for on a rolling monthly basis or a 6 month contract, which will bag you a saving on the monthly cost. Ultimately, if flexibility is important to you and you're prepared to pay a little more for it, then NOW TV & Broadband is a great option.

What is NOW TV Boost?

NOW TV Boost gives an enhanced viewing experience to NOW TV including:

1) Enhanced Video Quality: Full HD. Stream all the Sky Sports channels, as well as selected shows and movies, in 1080p resolution, offering a significant improvement over the standard 720p. Enjoy smoother sporting action on Sky Sports, at a high 50 frames per second, with the exception of Xbox One and LG TV.

2) Immersive Audio: If you have a surround sound speaker system or soundbar you can watch in Dolby Digital 5.1, bringing a cinematic audio experience to your home.

3) Multi-Device Streaming: Simultaneously stream on up to 3 devices, instead of the standard 1, whether it's your large screen or mobile device.

4) Ad-Free Entertainment: Remove adverts for an uninterrupted viewing experience. Please note that ad-free viewing excludes live channels and trailers promoting NOW content.

1080p streaming requires a minimum of 12Mbps and Boost features are available on selected content and devices only.

How many devices can I have on NOW TV?

Whilst you can sign in to 4 devices, a standard NOW TV subscription only allows for streaming on 1 device at a time. If you upgrade to NOW TV Boost then you can stream on up to 3 devices simultaneously.

You can watch NOW TV on over 60 different devices, online at NOWTV.com or via the app. Devices include the Amazon Fire TV Stick, smart TVs, Roku, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Apple TV, TalkTalk TV Box, iOS and Android mobiles, Chromecast, Mac and PC.

How to get NOW TV on a smart TV?

Select smart TV models, such as those from LG and Samsung, support the NOW app. Some TV models come with the app preinstalled, whilst others such as some Samsung models require it to be downloaded from the app store. If purchasing a new smart TV you should check beforehand to ensure its support for the NOW app.

NOW has stopped producing its streaming stick, however, if you still have one it can still be used to stream NOW TV channels. You can also pause and rewind live TV, which is something you can’t do when streaming live channels from NOW on any other platform.
